ABOUT US
A healthy church does not need to be complicated. If we can faithfully do a few things, we can trust the Lord to do the work of building His church. Below you will find a few things that we want to be faithful in as a church.

A HOLY CHURCH
Scripture says, “As He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy.’” (1 Peter 1:15–16) Our desire is to be a people set apart for the Lord—those who “hunger and thirst for righteousness” (Matthew 5:6) and “take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11) By God’s grace, we will pursue “the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14)

A DOCTRINAL CHURCH
Jesus prayed to the Father, “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.” (John 17:17). Christ’s prayer on behalf of His church will not go unanswered. Therefore, we must be marked by an unwavering commitment to God’s Word—confessing it, proclaiming it, and defending it at any cost. Doctrine without practice is hypocrisy. But in the same way, practice without doctrine is empty. God’s Word is meant to fill the church so that she may be conformed to the image of Christ and presented mature in Him on the final day. By God’s grace, we will be devoted to His Word.

A PRAYERFUL CHURCH
Jesus says in John 15:5, “Apart from Me you can do nothing.” We earnestly believe this, and therefore we must give ourselves wholeheartedly to prayer. The church is the household of God, and He has declared that His house "shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.” (Isaiah 56:7). Our desire is that Redeemer Community Church would embody this calling—an example of steadfast, fervent prayer that accomplishes much for the Kingdom of God.

A SERVING CHURCH
The Bible says, “Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.” (Romans 12:11). We are called to be a people devoted to serving Christ, one another, our community, and the nations by meeting both physical and spiritual needs. In Isaiah 58:7–9, God exhorts His people to pour themselves out for the needy, promising that when they do, He will be near to answer when they cry to Him. Each member of the church has received gifts from God, and we are called to use them “to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” (1 Peter 4:10).

AN EVANGELISTIC CHURCH
We long to be a church devoted to spreading God’s glory across the earth, “as the waters cover the sea.” (Habakkuk 2:14). This glory is revealed in the face of Jesus Christ, who came to reconcile the world to Himself. As His church, we are entrusted with the message of the gospel. Therefore, the church is called to be a light to the nations and a beacon of hope wherever it is found. Our desire is to proclaim this gospel to our community, our city, and ultimately to the nations.

A DISCIPLING CHURCH
The resurrected Christ, who holds all authority, commissioned His church to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18–20). We believe disciple-making takes place within the church, from Christian to Christian. As the Apostle Paul declared, “Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.” (Colossians 1:28). Our desire is to be a church that walks alongside believers, helping them grow in maturity and be conformed more and more to the image of Christ.
